I spoke to an EA Advisor via https://help.ea.com/contact-us
I was advised to re-install Origin. I backed up my games then followed the instructions for a clean uninstall here

After completing these steps. Re-install Origin, check your Origin Games directory and Origin Cache directory.
Download and install Mass Effect 2.
I didn't need to download the game files again because I had them backed up. My origin version is 9.1.15.109 - 218578.
