Mass effect 2 Romance glitch

@draconiam I believe the squad points menu glitch maybe in tandem with the romance glitch because for what I remembered when I first played mass effect 2 on Xbox 360 after I complete the suicide mission and I was able to romance someone afterwards after the initial dialogue to Lock in the romance and went straight to the loading part of the game with the ship or the mass relay loading screen happened and then went to Romance scene now I have actually just thought of this could it be because the game loads a bit faster on the new consoles that maybe the Romance Scene can’t load properly like it can’t load at its proper pace cause if you can compare to the original version of the game to Le that might be something to look at

@draconiam all I know about the squad menu glitch is that after I’ve done the initial Lock in .4 romancing with either Male Shepherd Romance options apart from Kelly and samara Who are typically romance options but don’t have romance scenes The screen goes completely black you can hear the background noise you can hear the character moving and you can pause to the menu Like you can load you can save a file you can go to the squad mates menu you can do everything that you can do when you pause the game like it’s normal no cut scene which I believe in itself may be a glitch to because what I remembered with the original version of the game after you discussed romance with a potential romance option in the game and have that Lock in point it goes straight to the loading string and then goes to the cut scene for the romance now I don’t know if it works in terms of romancing works before the suicide mission or not I haven’t really tried it to romance anyone before the mission I may try that and see if that works but yeah it seems like something isn’t working properly so I’m hoping it’s addressed soon by the developer because I don’t Think a lot of people would be too happy with this type of bug especially those were trying to get all of the achievements they can from this game

@dylan881 Bingo, and having Kelly as a friend doesn't prevent acquiring the reward.

@draconiam do you think maybe BioWare has changed the romance method in mass effect 2 Le to wear maybe you can only romance the characters before the suicide mission

@dylan881 Considering that they changed things that people didn't have a problem with in the original releases ME1 -> ME2 credit transfer and how they removed the Stasis bonus power in ME2) I wouldn't be surprised if this was another thing they did because their internal testers who were rushed or had any interaction with the player base this might have been the case. Leave the bugs and hurt the game bit trust them in the next game.

@draconiam But surely they would know that for all intensive purposes they’re on thin ice with the fan base considering what happened with Andromeda and Athens I mean I know that the pandemic has caused a lot of chaos in regards to game development and that may have been one of the contributing factors of bugs not being caught but I’m not making excuses for them so I don’t think they would deliberately leave bugs in that would cause this much problems for players I mean surely they would understand that if they were trying to bring in new fans for the franchise they would want to make sure that it runs smoothly as possible
