Mass Effect 3, origin does not work in-game, can't invite friends or view downloadable content in-game.

I recently downloaded the origin beta build  and now the overlay works as intended. The popup will come up after game has logged in, inside ME3.

I have been experiencing this issue for a couple of days now. 

As i remembered seeing the MSI Afterburner was stopping this from working. 

That got me thinking to what other programs i use that have an overlay and it hit me that steam uses an overlay. 

I closed steam down and this resolved the issue. 

Sorry if you have already resolved this but if not hope it helps. 

Wanted to hop into Mass Effect 3 with a friend and am running into this issue. I've closed Steam and this doesn't fix the problem. 

Any fix on the horizon?

Do you run any other overlay software? (Skyp, MSI-Afterburner, OBS etcetera.)

Nope. The only software I have are drivers related to my hardware, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Logitech mouse and headset drivers, and Razer Synapse for my keyboard, and Avira anti-virus.

I closed GeForce experience and no change.

Did you tried the beta?

I contacted EA support. I was walked through the following possible solutions: 

1) Enabling in game overlay from Mass Effect 3 Origin games library.

No option available.

2) Enabling in game overlay from Origin website.

Again, no option available.

3) Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin.

Overlay prompt came up when Mass Effect 3 started, but when I attempted to launch multiplayer the game crashed. I tried this a second time with the same result. I was instructed to repair the game at this point. After the game repaired itself, the in game overlay no longer functioned, but the game no longer crashed when I started multiplayer.

4) Was asked to disable and enable the in game overlay again.

5) Log out of and shutdown Origin. Restart Origin, log back in, and start Mass Effect 3 again.

6) Agent consulted with "specialists". Was told that my "issue was registered with the experts" and they would be taking care of the issue for me. I just have to wait 24 hours and the problem will be fixed from my account.

Awaiting results. Will update next post with results.
