Soooooo, it's launch. And there's no mention of when the upgrade option will be available in Origin.
I always find it strange how difficult game company's like to make it for people to give them money. I have Money. EA/Bioware has something I wanna buy. Sell it already and TAKE MY MONEY!

The game is not yet released worldwide.
I am confident the upgrade pack will be available soon after this is the case.

For what it's worth, I just now finished speaking to an EA customer service rep on this subject, and I was assured that upgrade options will be made available "within the next month." It's a little bit annoying that there's going to be such a long delay, but maybe it has something to do with the worldwide release staggering, or they want a chance to get a patch in place first, or something.

Well that almost certainly rules me out for getting the deluxe edition then, I'm planning on being neck-deep in the game starting tomorrow, and unless I'm still very much playing the game when the option presents itself, I won't be buying it, I seldom revisit games I've played before, simply because there's too much other stuff to discover out there.
EA has improved from their "worst company" award a couple years back, but man, they still have that "evil and slightly inept moneysucker" thing going on, it's a shame really. I can honestly say I miss the C&C: Generals era feel of the company.- 9 years ago
Just got off the phone with EA help desk and the guy plainly told me to return my Amazon Standard order for a refund and buy the Deluxe Game on Origin instead. It's the only way, he says.
Like Amazon is going to refund an empty game box with a used code in it...
Anyway, sure doesn't seem like the upgrade is coming in anytime soon.

'Within the next month' is pointless if I've already beaten the game.
