Mass effect archives how it works

Hi guys jusy returned after a while to gaming in ps4 and the first game i bought was andromeda and i read that it has nothing to do with mass effect trilogy so i can just play andromeda but i just arrive in vold rhe frozen world and i saw something online about mass effect archives and i dont know how it works . Is it the same as dai and can i recreate mass effect trilogy history or how does it work and how can i transfer it to my gaming now please help i just want to kno what the archieves about and how it works in andromeda thanks in advance
