Mass Effect games stuck on splash screen

You should have the "ASUS ROG Connect Plus" software installed.

Deinstall the software > Reboot > Test.

@holger1405 Tried that, Still nothing. Tried uninstalling Steam also and reinstalling. ME2 and 3 just don't want to run. I read on one of the post about a problem with Memory allocation or something and that MELE wants to use Memory that has already been allocated to another program? I'm not sure if that might be my problem. Attached DXdiag

Run the file checker again:

• Hit Windows key and X.
• Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered.
• Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
• If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
• Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
• The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
• After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key and X again.
• Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command Prompt (Administrator)”
• Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes. >ENTER.
• Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

I also like to test something:

• Klick on Start > Choose "on/off"
• Press the Shift Key > Click on "Restart"
• Windows now boots into the recovery Screen.
• Choose "Troubleshot" > Advanced Options > Startup Settings
• Click "Restart"
• After the PC restart you will see a list of options > Press "F5" for "Safe Mode with Networking"
• Try to start the game.

No drivers expect network drivers are loaded in this mode, meaning the game is rendered in software, so it will take a wile to get to the launcher and so on.

You of course can't play this way, the idea is to find out if a normally loaded driver is causing the error.

To leave the Save environment, just restart the system.

@holger1405 I ran all the commands you said and no errors showed up.

I ran the game with Windows in safe mode and it worked! So I guess it's a driver causing this since I restarted and tried loading the game up again normally and it didn't work.

It probably is a driver.

Make sure every driver on your system is up to date, don`'t trust the device manager if it says they are up to date.

There is also a dxgi.dll error, but SFC should have taken care of that.

But we can double-checked that as well

Download the search search tool "everything": https://www.voidtools.com/ 

Search for the "dxgi.dll" (make sure "All files" is selected)
You should find it among others in "C:\Windows\System32" and "C:\Windows\SysWOW64"

But you also should find back ups of the "dxgi.dll"

If you have "dxgi.dll" files of the same size in a different folder then "C:\Windows\System32" or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64", rename the "dxgi.dll" in "C:\Windows\System32" and "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" to "Old_dxgi.dll" and copy the corresponding "dxgi.dll" to"C:\Windows\System32" and "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" > Test.

@holger1405 I tried the dxgi replacing, after some trouble with permissions in changing Windows files, and nothing. I'll try and check if all drivers are up to date. Do you recommend the best way of doing this since I can't trust device manager?

@holger1405 I updated 13 outdated drivers using AVG driver updater. Restarted, tested the game and problem still persists. Obviously there's a driver that is interfering with the game but is there anyway to pinpoint it?

You could use a registry cleaner like CCleaner (freeware version) to clean your registry.

You could de-connect any not necessary hardware from your system > Restart and test. 

You could disable devices in the device manager > reboot and test.

But be careful, some things will render Windows inoperable.

The sound devices, Network devices, USB devices and so on are innocuous.

But honestly, a clean install of Windows might be the best solution here.

I don't know how much work this would be for you, that differs from system and user, but this might be the best way.
