Adding to the list of things that should have been taken the time to incorporate is a conversation Shepard was going to have with Ashley Williams (possibly prior to Cerberus Headquarters) related to his/her revival, the usual excuse was that it dared to question Christianity yet we are in a gaming space were the ethically of genocide is constanly discussed and that we see the care the developers invested in the aliens cultures and belief and how they had adapted to the current state of their Galactic knowledge, why didn't humanity had a few dedicated sections exploring how their culture and beliefs evolved? If anything it felt like humanity was eager to get rid of anything they grew up with in order to play nice with the Council which could have struck a nerve on how misguided The Illusive Man really was.
