I would assume the Legendary Edition was made because the community asked for it, for years and over and over again.
Also of course because it seemed profitable.
This this is the point, these are companies with hundreds and hundreds of employees, they need to make profit.
That is just a fact of life, you can call it "cash grab" or greedy but it remains what it is, capitalism.
Unfortunately, afaik, we don't have a better system on this planet. 😉
Bioware has also clarified that it is a remaster, not a remake, and that there would be no changes to the storyline.
Everyone can decide whether they want to spend money on it under this circumstances or stick with the original games.
Are there bugs? Old and new ones? Yes, and that is also just Inevitable.
The MELE is just 4 weeks out now, give them time to fix the bugs, if they do it is fine, If not, you have every right to complain.
btw, I think you want to tag EA_David.
Edit:Typo.
- draconiam5 years agoSeasoned Ace@holger1405 They took the time to fix a ton of issues from ME 1-2 mostly regarding bigged conversations, so why they didn't bothered to do that for the third game which is infamous for them? Thanks for the tag @EA_David.

We do have a better system, it's just that the power structures in the imperial core pay off politician and write the laws to never get rid of capitalism, which is abusive, exploitative and oppressive. The better system is socialism. AFA game continuity, I agree, just remastering the graphics was all that is needed. Remaking the story would kill what ME overall is about.
- draconiam5 years agoSeasoned Ace@Tommy6860 If you want to have an economic debate at least put it into the correct forum but I'll say this: if socialism policies are so great why are they mandatory? In the socialism mindset the people uses the politicians as their churches (we have to pay mandatory tribute based on our possessions to a group similar to what happens on religious temples and the tribute coffers).
Capitalism is movement of money. Both economic propositions can be better than the other but if they aren't regulated both can and will be corrupted by the ones in charge.
In capitalism the sharing of ideas and projects is encouraged as the capitalist civilization needs to advance and simplify their society whereas in socialism the ideas tend to more centered on keeping the system running.
The US Social Security program is more socialist than the Swiss Social Security program because it's focused on deductions to pay for the retirement of generations which came before whereas Switzerland is now focused if the economy if doing well people get paid in their retirement better as it is a partly private system that paid off, a giant reason why that nation didn't impossed strong lockdowns in their nation because they would have endangered their citizens wealth and also because the people on Europe have been educated to serve the goverment while the US was founded with the mindset of self governance. Another reason why socialism isn't welcomed into the US. But as I stated, that conversation is better for a dedicated economic blog qhere we can better study the different points of views to make better decisions while we respect each other but going back to this game.
I can in a capitalist society buy a very beloved product that is very dear for my heart and mind and still be allowed to point the faults so that the company that makes said product knows when they messed up and can come up with an acceptable solution. The third game being rushed in development hampered the experience and you are free to continue supporting half made products, but following in that same line of thought more and more people will move to not support the company in question buying their products in nostalgia alone. Bioware did Remade various aspects of the Trilogy from achievements/trophies to multiple changes on the first game, so why not see what they could have also worked with on the other two games?
