Mass Effect Trilogy (1) won't install from disk

Mass Effect won't install from disk.  I bought the Mass Effect trilogy last year. when I try to install Mass Effect 1, I enter the activation code and Origin gives me this warning: An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later.

After that, it requires me to cancel installation.

Over and over.

The problem turned out to be that when I uninstalled origin last night, I didn't reinstall the latest version.  I think that the installation disk sent me to an obsolete version which didn't work.  Reinstalled the latest origin and now I'm having a smooth installation.  Thank you for your help!

You did tried to restart Origin and your PC?

    ME2 and ME3 work?

If so, clear your Origin cache:

All settings in Origin (only in Origin not in the games) are back to default settings after this.)

        - close Origin completely. (right click on the Origin symbol in the task bar > close)
        - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
        - Type or copy  "%ProgramData%/Origin" (without quotes) > hit ENTER
        - Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for the "LocalContent" folder. (The "LocalContent" folder must remain untouched.)
        - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
        - Type or copy "%AppData%" (without quotes)  > hit ENTER
        - Now your Windows explorer should have brought you to your "C:\Users\>your user name<\AppData\Roaming" folder
        - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the "Roaming" folder
        - In the address bar of your Windows explorer click on the word "AppData".
        - Open the "Local" folder
        - Delete the "Origin"  folder inside the  "Local" folder
        - Restart your PC. > test

thanks for your help on this. There isn't a LocalContent folder inside my Origin folder. This may be because I uninstalled and reinstalled last night?

Possible, or because there are no games installed on this account?

Did you followed the other steps?

If it still don't works, try to run Origin as Administrator (right click the Origin desktop shortcut > Run as Administrator)
