Maximum Success Percentage for Strike team being 94%

Currently whenever I put a strike team towards a mission it says 94% chance of completion, I've never had the percentage chance of success being higher than that.

Even with my quick response vehicle IV and doing a bronze hostage situation mission, I still receive 94%.

Has anyone tried purchasing something that gives +6 effectiveness and tried a typical silver/bronze mission to boost it to 100%.

Will post pictures when my strike teams come back.

Also Will purchase a +6-10 effectiveness item when I have the mission funds (spent 150 MF on quick response vehicle IV, 120 MF on Combative upgrade equipment, and purchased a 4th strike team 120 MF.) so my funds are a little low.

Yup. I've not seen higher than 94%. I only have 2 teams ATM, but both are 20 and 19. Saving up funds to get another team, but I want more gear to increase gold success rates.

I suspect that the + effectivness does not apply the success percentage, but is instead a "bonus" to what ever formula is used to calculate the chances.

And then there are the strike team traits you earn for mission fail/success,. Good ol' fashion RNG.

    ... sgh

With quick response vehicle IV (150 MF) and a level 20 team with 5 positive traits, I have a 84% chance of completing gold hostage situations, if that helps

I see this completely plausible and would' t change. The way I see it, there's always a small, no quantifiable chance for your to fail, due unknown and unpredictable reasons, lack of luck, an unexpected heart failure, someone coughing, a star going supernova. We cannot predict the nature and every small things. If the game would pick a small percentage, such as 1-10% of unpredictable chance to fail at something, I would find it bearable.

    But that's just my opinion.

Stop being realistic!  I want my apex teams to be gods, lol.

Nah but you're right.  It is more realistic, it's just that, even if it is much harder to accomplish, I would like the ability to raise the chances of success above 94%... perhaps in the form of completing the quest where you scan all enemies for the APEX teams?

I personally haven't gotten around APEX stuff that much, nor Multiplayer. I had a bug that I couldn't have more than 3 teams, than I had another bug that frozen my APEX menu. I was sort of not motivated to meddle with it for now. Of course, 100% has its appeal, and if the majority of people think it should be done, I'm ok with it either way. It's not something I would really be put off, just like the color of weapon mods, which is something I don't really even take notice (however I often change my character's attire colors).

  • There appears to be a diminishing returns formula here where your teams level, postive and negative traits, and gear will improve your chance of success less and less the more you get. It seems highly asymptotic in the high 80's/low 90's. This makes sense since this is the way bonuses are handled in game, especially MP. It's for this reason that you can get more than 100% reduction in cooldown for some abilities (Charge, in particular), yet not have a 0s cooldown.

I do not think your plan of buying +6 effectiveness gear will help you: 1) because you're going need more than 6 to get 6%, and 2) you can't use more than one piece of gear.

Just finished the Mission to scan all 20 enemies, lets see if that helped, appreciate the sarcasm

i currently have 5 teams, my first 2 are at lvl20, and i've never gotten higher than 94%. in fact, my main team just picked up a debuff after failing 3-4 missions back to back with a 94% success rate. say... has anyone got a lvl20 team that was awarded a buff after they hit 20? i have not, and i've been running those first 2 teams for quite a while now.
