More reinstallations will not help you, the problem is not with the game.
- Make sure Origin and Steam are closed.
- Go to your Install directory > "Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME1\BioGame" folder.
(Steam: <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME2\BioGame" ) - Delete the "Config" folder.
- Test.
If that don't works either:
- Press the Windows key and "i"at the same time > Apps.
- Search for "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015 - 2019"
- Deinstall all 2015 - 2019 versions that you see.
- Reboot.
- Go to your Install directory > "Mass Effect Legendary Edition\__Installer\vc\vc2015\redist" folder and install the "vc_redist.x86.exe" and the "vc_redist.x64.exe"
- Reboot > Test.
If that works, go here and install the x86 and x64 versions. (You do not need the ARM64 version.)
Edit: Missing word.
ok i tried everything and i tried to install the arm64 and it wont install and giving me the error in the picture.

Thank you for contacting EA help, please go through the steps and reinstall the game-
Hold down the Windows Key and press X.
Click Command Prompt (Admin).
When the command prompt opens, type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter.
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Reboot your computer.I have done everything you said to try I dont know what else to do at this point its been over a week and a half. I am just going to get a refund and not worry about it and play the original ones that I know work.

There are plenty of things actually. 😉
Because you have an Asus Tuf book, are you sure Sonic Radar 3 is not installed?
Deactivate all sound devices of your machine in the device manager.
Reboot > Test.
- Hit Windows key and X.
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered.
- Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Checkhealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
- If errors are found, notify us. If no errors were found reaped steps 1 & 2.
- Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes. > ENTER.
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here.
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key and X again.
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command Prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the PowerShell or CMD, enter “sfc /scannow” without quotes. >ENTER.
- Post the message you receive at the end of the processes here.

Ok i dont have it installed as far as i can tell it doesnt pull up anything and it is not in my installed apps I do have Realtek audio installed. should i remove that?
Did you hear about a program called LantencyMon v 7.00 ? Its a program that you can start and after that you need to do what you are doing all the time, like trying to play games when your pc uses resources the program will tell you if there is a problem with a windows file or drivers i will add a picture to show you what i mean. i let it run only 30 seconds just to show you, but you will heave to let it run like 5-10 minutes. For me it helped find and fixed many old problems on the old pc.
- holger14054 years agoHero+
Disable the Realtek audio in the device manager > Restart the machine > test.

I removed it and restarted and still doesnt work. With the same errors memory can not be written

Is there anything else to try?
- holger14054 years agoHero+
I like to try something:
- Klick on Start > Choose "on/off"
- Press the Shift Key > Click on "Restart"
- Windows now boots into the recovery Screen.
- Choose "Troubleshot" > Advanced Options > Startup Settings
- Click "Restart"
- After the PC restart you will see a list of options > Press "F5" for "Safe Mode with Networking"
- Try to start the game.
No drivers expect network drivers are loaded in this mode, meaning the game is rendered in software, so it will take a wile to get to the launcher and so on.
You of course can't play this way, the idea is to find out if a normally loaded driver is causing the error.

Ok i restarted and tried again in safe mode and all the games worked. I just dont know what it running in the background that is stopped it.
- holger14054 years agoHero+
I don't think it is a background program, it is more likely that a driver is the problem, but that might be a driver of a third party application.
- Go here.
- Scroll down to "Download".
- Click "Download Process Monitor (3 MB)"
- Run the "Procmon.exe"
- It will start into the Filter:
- In the first drop down menu > choose "Process Name".
- In the second drop down menu > make sure "is" is set.
- In the empty field after the second drop down menu enter "MassEffect1.exe". (Without the quotes.)
- Click on "Add" (now it should look like the screenshot above.)
- Run Mele Mass Effect 1.
- After the game crashes switch back to Process Monitor, the last entry should give you some inside.
If the culprit is not clear from the entry, right click the last entry and make screenshots form the "Event", "Process" and "Stack" windows.
(Make sure all entries are readable.) - 4 years ago
Ok did that and got the screenshots doing two posts

@Coolerking03 Please provide the the ME log. Click File > Save, choose "Events displayed using current filter," check the box to include profiling events, and choose your desktop as the location to save the file.
After it crashes, please upload the log to a third-party site and link it here.

ok i am trying it on this site i hope it works and i did what you asked me to.
Edit: Holger1405, removed log file after download.

Just checking to see if you had a chance to look that over.
- holger14054 years agoHero+
Yes I had, unfortunately I still couldn't identify the culprit without a doubt.
There is a WMI security warning shortly before the "bink2w64.dll" throws the error, so lets try this:
- Go here and download the "All in One Runtimes" (Description)
- Press the Windows key and "i" at the same time > Apps.
- Enter "Microsoft Visual" in the search filed.
- Deinstall all "Microsoft Visual Runtimes. (From 2005 to 2019)
- Reboot.
- Install the "All in One Runtimes" Use the options from the screenshot below + the 2019 runtime that should be shown for you.
(Inform me if it isn't.) - Reboot.
- Repair the game. (If you have it on steam repair it in Origin as well.)
- Test.
If that still don't works it is probably not meaningful to search further.
A complete fresh installation of Windows would probably solve the problem. Only you can decide whether this is a feasible option for you.
