ME1 audio issue - dialog & sfx in surrounds instead of center

Mass Effect 1 dialog and sfx audio is coming from the rear/surround speakers instead of the center channel, meaning that conversations, weapons fire etc are all coming from behind the player instead...

You and every other community leader here are absolutely classless. We're all just asking for a simple response to a question that's obviously plaguing a lot of players and it takes the bare minimum amount of effort to respond and let us know that it's being looked into or that you've relayed the information.

OK EA what the hell? Why have you not even acknowledged this issue? When can we expect a fix? I've literally put my play through on hold because of this issue.
