ME1 audio issue - dialog & sfx in surrounds instead of center

Mass Effect 1 dialog and sfx audio is coming from the rear/surround speakers instead of the center channel, meaning that conversations, weapons fire etc are all coming from behind the player instead...

I have this same problem too and I put my play through on hold since launch. I’ve been waiting for a patch but still nothing. I do have another topic under ps4/ps5 surround channel bug if anyone wants to write on there as well. Maybe if we have more than one topic going they’ll finally realize how much of an issue this is.

At this point we’re better off putting our avr in plain stereo mode and finish the game that way. I’ve given up hope on this being fixed. It’s not happening or they would have said something by now.
