ME1 legendary can't board normandy

I can't board the normandy.  When I go up to the ship, I can go through the scan, but once that cut scene is done, I'm locked inside the exit room.  The game will let me leave the ship, but while on the ship, I can only access that tiny little room.  I really don't want to have to start a new game as I've got about 4-5 hours of game play already as I took care of a lot of citadel mission's prior to taking on my first spectre mission.  Never had this issue with the original ME1, just the Legendary ME1.

    I have found a workaround and I hope it will be of use to everyone who meets this bug:
    1) Enter Normandy airlock after talking with Udina and Anderson ("Stand by shore party decontamination in progress). You notice that you are stuck in the airlock and cannot enter ship (and you hear XO Presley is relieved and that commander Shepard has the deck)
    2) Open the console (google how to enable console)
    3) Enter the following: At BIOA_NOR00 Start_NOR10_01
    4) You will be teleported behind Joker on Normandy, and you will see that you cannot exit the Normandy through airlock

    5) Go to the Galaxy Map and interact like you want to fly to Citadel, and at that moment I was given a mission by admiral about some drugged researches
    6) After this you exit the Normandy through airlock

    7) Return to Normandy again through airlock, and this time the cutscene about addressing the crew will start
    8) After this everything is fixed as I see for now
