ME1-ME2 Import Charakter Bonus Ability

Hello all,

I have imported my level 29 ME1 character (which seems to correspond with a level 56 character in classic ranking) into ME 2 and got the bonuses that you used to get for importing a level 60 character (start at level 5, 10k of each resource).

But the bonus ability, which was unlocked, was flash grenades. I remember that I unlock the barrier ability, when playing as adept class in the old edition.

Has the bonus ability been changed for legendary edition or do i misremember? What does the bonus ability depend on?

And second question is: Is it possible to reach level 30/60 playing paragon style? I complete all missions, assignments and planet surveying/exploring, but still missing somewhat 180,000 points for max level.

Greetings

Not sure if it was a ME1 -> ME2.  It's been a while, but I think that was ME2 -> ME3 where you can pick bonus abilities to start with. ME1 had unlockable bonuses for your next playthrough I believe.

As to hitting max level. From what I can gather, having finished ME1LE and done everything bar one mission (Spacer related) , you can't hit max level in one playthrough.  You fall short by a good 150k-170k. I know they said you could, but I think either they miscalculated or something needs adjusting. But no, I ended up 29/30 which was 57/60 when I started ME2. Still, its fine as you get the bonuses as if you were 60.

    Hope this helps ^^

Thanks for your answer! Now I feel reassured, that I haven't missed anything (assignment, exploration, ...). 🙂

And you're right, of course: 29/30 is 57/60.
