ME2 LE Background Music Missing

ME1 LE had mostly working sound, but I've been having issues with ME2 LE for the entire time, some of which have been persisting through multiple clean reinstalls. The ones that are sticking around are mostly related to the background music. In some areas, the background music simply will not play.

For instance, during cutscenes with the Illusive Man, there is no music, similarly with the initial portion of Tali's loyalty mission, and the initial landing cutscene during Jacob's loyalty mission. It's almost as if certain music files are corrupted or something, but repairing or reintstalling the game does not fix the problem. Additionally, during Tali's recruitment mission, when much of the music is the same as in her loyalty mission, the music was playing. I'm baffled as to what the problem could be.
