ME2 won't launch after first time

OG ME2 you could switch from one romance to another after beating the game (after going through the omega relay) and it would play the romance scene that is assigned to play when you go though omega relay. this was cool because you could make an end game save with a different romance to import, without having to replay the entire game. you can do this in the legendary edition as well (please do not patch that out bioware) but it doesnt play the relay check romance movie, instead it makes the screen cut to black, which can be fixed by navigating the dark (use your map button 🙂 to find a squad member to talk to. can you patch the game to make the romance scenes viewable (and replayable) from the captains quarters desk or something?

I played all of ME1 and I was moving to ME2 to continue were the story. I open up the game get to the title screen, select single say import me1 character and then black screen. I tried opening the game again then black screen. I can launch ME1 and 3 no problem but every time I launch 2 it black screens. I really want to continue my story but I can go from 1 to 3. I uninstalled and re installed then the same thing happens. I know the game is still in the back ground because I use a controller and can hear the sound of the game but it keeps black screen. Please does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this because I really want to continue where I left off?

@kodydenney3  I guess someone merged your post into this thread without replying.  Could you try the solution earlier in this thread?  If it doesn't work for you, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

I csn't find the file path on my system.

Any help is appreciated.  I have the same problem.  But can't find the config file.

If you are on Origin:  "<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\BioGame\Config"

If you use Steam:      "<drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Game\ME3\BioGame\Config"

I am having the same problem now with ME1. I have 18 hours in the game already, but now all it does is minimize to the taskbar. This is incredibly frustrating. I've already tried deleting the gameconfig ini file. Didn't work. Ugh.

So I tried what the guy had and it don't work. I still get blacked screened on the when the launcher starts. Do I send the file in a new ea thread or somewhere else
