On Insanity, using Mordin for incinerate. Through all missions / enemy types tried, no registering of incinerate achievement. Tried using to completely remove lower level enemy armour, and finish off higher level after weakening - nothing. Edited playthrough to make Shepherd engineer and gave incinerate, still nothing on multiple missions.
I had this issue with Incinerate and Overload on the PS4, it seems to be a somewhat common bug. Periodically I'll see the pop-up that one of my incinerates counted toward the achievement but so far I haven't been able to figure out any difference between the ones that counted and the ones that didn't. I finally got the Overload achievement after using 50-60 times, still working on the Incinerate one.
My achievement tracker for Incineration Specialist shows 25/25 but the achievement is still greyed out and hasn’t unlocked. Very frustrating, as the other enemy achievements unlocked for me without issue. I’m playing on Xbox Series X.
Surprisingly, the incineration specialist achievement randomly unlocked by itself about 2 days later. I wasn’t on the Xbox at the time but I got an alert on the Xbox app. I have since checked the in-game achievement tracker and the medal is no longer greyed out. Glad it finally unlocked.
