That would likely conflict somewhat with how they feel Cerberus should be punished to how big the bloodbath was. I'd imagine Vega couldn't get off the ship due to him shooting a TV and leading a group of Batarians toward Anderson gun when he got the task to guard Shepard (comic exclusive story), the Virmire Survivor (VS) would specifically find it a tad over their taste how maybe punishment for Cerberus might have been a tab bloody or realizing that even scum like the one in Omega at least has a code. It would be a great learning experience as they start seeing the ugly underside of which the goody goverments use more often than they don't want to acknowledge it.Garrus, Vega and Shepard walk into Afterlife...that's a DLC I'd pay for.
Another thing they could have done was have Shepard and Miranda meetup there, though she doesn't like the place. Maybe meet not far from where the hand-off of Shepard's remains happened; maybe a small conversation about that for those who haven't read the comic.
Funny thing, there is a Mod on the Nexus that does exactly that.
Only for PC and the old game unfortunately.

It is nothing short of amazing what the Modding community did, and they are moving fast this time around so we might see some of this stuff be ported to the MELE soon.
