Actually, you can get the medi-gel if you can get the buggy climb up mechanic to work. I can usually get it to work one in possibly 10 tries. In original ME1 it would tell you to press a button to get on top of the first crate, but seemingly that prompt is gone and only sometimes works if you try to do it anyway.
Thank you. It does work, but only if I holster the weapon. The lack of prompt (after playing the original series) was very confusing.
