Mini Map?
Am I missing something?
Is there REALLY no mini map in this game? lol....
How can they make games set a thousand years in the past with mini maps but then make a game with civilizations tens of ...

Are you talking about Mass Effect? Because this is the Mass Effect 3 thread.
If you, what I assume, talking about SimCity, here is the right thread.
Yes. Talking about Mass Effect 3.
@mckrackin5324 All right then. No, there is no Mini-Map. The Game has a Map in non linear (hub) areas, on the Citadel and on the the Normandy for example. (Standard key is M)
The Missions are linear, so basically you can't miss anything important, you also can press M in Missions, that gives you an arrow that points to your current objective or highlights the objective if you are near.
Edit: As far as I know there are no Mods available that add a Mini-Map.
Thanks.
You're right that I play on PC but I use a controller so there's no quick map on missions.
I can click R3 for the arrows but have to pause for the map. No biggie.
I just can't fathom why they didn't give us a mini map on the HUD when they give us one in games like Dragon Age. hahaha
It would make sense in this game given the incredibly advanced tech the characters use.
Anywho...thanks again.
ME1 had a radar, but they got rid of it starting ME2 because the Xbox 360 couldn't handle it. ME1 on Xbox 360 runs at ridiculously low framerates in combat, sometimes even falling to 13fps. They had to make some sacrifices in the sequels to keep the game playable.
Fun fact: That's also why combat and non-combat areas are separate in the sequels. The Xbox 360 has so little RAM that they decided to have dedicated non-combat zones where the combat animations didn't need to load into memory. In ME3, holstering your gun in combat areas isn't even possible, even on PC.

Ahhh...will be nice when they stop making games with PS3 and XB360 in mind...completely.
I wish all PC games were a completely different entity from the crippled console versions.
