Seriously, playing with that pistol to finish the challenge was quite an experience. Recoil, bad. Base spread, bad. Damage output, low. Bullet speed, relatively low. Rate of fire acceleration, useless. The latter is useless because the pistol is not supposed for mid to long range fights because of the big big base spread, low damage and bullet speed. You need to be in melee range to fill your entire crosshair (ADS) when you want to make use of the automatic fire, but that means you could get staggered by melee attacks. When this happens, the rate of fire just goes back to the start. The N7 Eagle on the other hand is the polar opposite, except there is no rate of fire acceleration. What's the point of a gun with a feature like that when all it takes is one melee hit to make it useless? Of all the pistols I've used, this is the weirdest one.

What's the point of any weapon when there is another weapon you prefer? There is a range of weapons with different characteristics.

Sadly a lot of automatic weapons share the same problem. Soned is another example of this as well.

Agreed, stock Rozerad is kinda pointless. However, with the right augments it can be a bit silly. Slap bio + conduits on it for infinite fire ridiculousness and watch your enemies melt away... Like single-trigger-pull for an hour ridiculous. Seriously. https://youtu.be/qh3JBe05L1A?t=669

The Rozerad is a great gun. High capacity, rapid and decently strong with classes that have several weapon passives. Try that thing with a Human Sentinels weapon power. Slam a stun barricade and blind fire that thing at point blank to chew up anything in front of you. As for the weapon climb it is one of those weapons that you have to manually compensate for. I use a controller over a keyboard so its easy and natural for me to keep on target even at range with some light thumbstick pressure. The capacity and rate of fire make it great for taking out shields and applying ammo bonuses. #suppressingfire

Totally disagree OP. I far prefer the Rozerad to the Eagle. Used correctly it can easily outpace the Eagle in damage output. It's designed to be a bullet-hose, not every round is going to hit, but not every round Needs to hit.
Try putting the receiver on it and just spray at enemies in cover, you have to get it wound up for a bit before it really starts to do work but the longer you fire the faster it shoots.
Also it's by Far the lightest UR pistol, I'm pretty sure it weighs less than half what the eagle does so I'm not sure why you're comparing the two directly.

@Atfricks Hit most of my points. This was actually the first pistol I got the challenge for. This stems largely from my difficulty aiming and needing a forgiving gun in the early days, but Rozie will always hold a special place for me. This is my go-to weapon for dropping Ascendant bubbles. While I now feel that the Hurricane is a better gun, I can't get on board with your preference of the Eagle over the Rozerad.

@Atfricks It only weighs 5 units less (Mouse-breaker predator has the lowest weight 🙂). As to why I compared both, it's because they're both automatic and UR. Also, they have relatively close base ROF (N7 is higher initially) compared to the Hurricane. I guess there are people who prefer it, but it's just from my own experience after completing the gold challenge with all pistols. 🙂

Slap seeking plasma on it and you're golden. Just shoot in the "general direction" for results... (kinda boring actually).
