Number 1: For the love of whatever being you choose to believe or not to believe in... PUT YOUR MICROPHONE ON PUSH TO TALK. Options > Settings > Assign a freaking key please
Number 2: Be ready! Customize your character, go to the store, eat, drink, smoke and be merry outside of the lobby.
eh, alot of the people i play with DONT use push to talk in multiplayer for a very good reason.. its another key. then again i dont play with 9 year olds or people who do stupid things into their mics.
the other stuff though absolutely. may want to add "dont be a moron and join a gold lobby at level 1 or apex score under 5000" because my block list is getting loooong from adding these fools whos only logic in playing multiplayer is to parasite their way up the leaderboards.
Some of them are not morons. It's just that the single player tutorial never mentions difficultly levels and how they scale, not does it prevent new players with lvl1 everything join in a single button.
What's needed is an extra warning screen when creating/joining a lobby: "This silver/gold mission is not recommened until multiplayer lvl X. It is likely to kill you within seconds and your teammates will hate you."
i literraly crushed gold 13 hours after release with my team 1100 apex score. If u know what to do or be a me3 veteran soloed platinum this game is a cakewalk! But i know wheres your point, ive seen myself ppl finishing gold with 3200 points being dead all the time and it is frustrating as hell for me and my friends.
My all time best are apex 7 lvl 1 going for apex gold mission ! Result in an instakick ! U should atleast have earned 200k - 300k credits to have the posibility to enter gold mode....
actually.. letting us put a minimum level/apex on the matches we start would help ALOT too. i was looking for gold quick matches this morning and kept finding ones with for example a level 1, a level 3 and a level 12... it frustrated me enough to just stop playing until friends got on.

When you are in a lobby and see 3 people including yourself ready to go and ticked. It really is annoying when you get this 4th person whom you've no idea what screen he/she's on.. taking his time selecting skill to upgrade.. and who knows maybe even tabbed out to a youtube build guide even. You wait.. then wait some more.. and just at the point where your thinking 'FFS hurry up!!!' he/she then just leaves. Its really bad form. If you are really not sure if this will be your last game or not, just leave the game lobby anyway and sort your skills for as long as you want. This includes changing your armour colours too 🙂
I've only once had someone on mics who had a barable mic quality and voice / behavior. Nine times out of ten all you get is ridiculously loud static or what sounds like an ostrich trying to mate with a lawn mower.
I'd prefer a setting to default to muting everybody, unless they can manage to have it recognize mic quality and not mute those who don't violate your ears by default.
I never ever had someone using voice chat so far and I have almost 60h multiplayer only!?
When playing with friends in ME3 we used teamspeak anyway to communicate outside the game/lobby. Since my friends are scattered around platforms there is little urge for me to use voice chat anymore. Maybe I have disabled it in settings ... would I hear other players?
The tutorial/tool tip only suggests a level as a rule of thumb but without APEX or weapon levels or even character level! It should more like this:
Character class VIII - X
of lvl 18+
with rare or ultra-rare weapons/mods (or uncommon VI - X).
Also being in a coordinated group makes up for some shortcomings in lvl or equipment.
So how should a new player know better (other than after his first gold match)?

I play on xbox 1. Have gotten through and won both bronze and silver matches easily. The next logical step for me.. to try gold. My apex rating is only just over 2k though, I have no idea what is required to play gold matches other then what the load screen for it says - recommended for level 20. Of course lag can make bronze and silver fail just as easy as I imagine it could make gold fail but I know how to play and stay out of trouble when my character isnt stuck rubber banding from lag.
P.S. went to tey my first gold mission and got booted from the lobby, they didn’t even bother to speak to me. Rude imo.
