I'm a bit late to this and my opinion is probably not going to be received that well, but while I feel they shouldn't ignore the multiplayer component of Mass Effect 3, I think it may be better if they first remaster that as well (graphical improvements, implement proper controller support, server improvements, etc.) and release it later as a free update.
In my opinion, Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is an underappreciated gem so in the long run they'd be shooting themselves in the foot not including it at some point. It survived until 2021 and has a dedicated player-base.

I am very late to this party, but with the "possibility" of Multiplayer being added, I'm posting around to make my will known (and hoping like-minded people do the same).
ME3 multiplayer is (as in currently, in 2021) one of the best multiplayer experiences I know. Is it perfect? No. It's grindy and repetitive and I still love it (200h in 2013, 40 hours and counting in 2021. It aged well).
I would like to see a remaster just to have an active development team pushing out content. Whether It's standalone game or part of LE, does not matter to me.
The Single Player is one of my favorite narrative experiences, with a combat system unrivaled in It's satisfying gameplay. The multiplayer is the combat system cranked up to 11, and I would love to see it receive some extra attention in a new multiplayer experience. Idk what went wrong with Andromeda MP. It looks great on paper but something feels off when I play it. Keeping that original ME3 MP feel will be important.

I'm sure many of you have seen this by now, but just in case, two items:
1) Dev tease about MP could possibly be included get people excited:
To me this is just non-answer corporate double-talk, i.e. "not closing the door, but if you all buy the game now ..."
and
2) (Honestly, I hate to propagate these click-bait rumors, but I admit I'm stoked) ...
"Insider" rumor that it is more imminent than one might think.

The community seems to be of two minds:
A) buy now to show "support" (more $ in house means they have more clout to convince overlords)
B) don't buy to show that, for you, MP support is a must. And be vocal about it to let them know what it takes to get your $
By the way I worded it, you can probably tell I'm firmly on Team B
