dont know if this helps at all, but i think i can confirm that its not.
i gave windows 8.1 and purchased mass effect 1 without checking for compatability issues. every time i have tried to launch the game i end up with an empty white window. i have tried all the suggestions from the help desk so far and that includes making sure my graphics drivers are up to date, tried running it without my antivirus and firewall, running it in administrator and also trying to run it in compatibility mode all to no avail as yet.
just trying to contact the help desk to see if they have any more suggestions
From everyone I have talked to, Mass Effect 1 Should be compatitble, and most people I have talked to are running it just fine.
Have you all updated it? Or changed compatibility modes?
If you have, have you checked the BioWare Social Network for solutions?
