[Old Report ]Mass Effect Andromeda missing online acess error

Hi,

When I try to connect online in the MEA it gives me this error (I'm attaching a picture). I'm aware of another thread https://answers.ea.com/t5/Other-Mass-Effect-Games/Mass-Effect-Andromeda-Missing-Online-Access-Error/td-p/11360544/page/4 that states that I have to go through live chat to fix it, but apparently no one seems to fix it. I've tried about 6 different agents from US,UK or from my country Portugal and I direct them to that thread and no one can help.I even copy and past some of the posts from EA_Shepard stating that the fix has to go through live chat and it's something about giving my account permission, but they all then try different troubleshooting stuff that doesn't help and that I've tried before. (clean boot, dns change, clean app cache, etc)

I don't know if it's something regarding to some EA play bug or something because after some of them try and do something, when I log into EA app it appears "your EA play sub has expired" and I never subscribed to EA play.

I'm now beginning to think that it wont be fixed so can anyone tell me just for single player am I missing something not connecting online? It's just the strike teams missions?

  • Finally got an live agent that knew what the problem was and fixed it in like 5min. Thanks everyone for the help.

    @SquallPT Did you purchase the game itself? Is the EA Play sub still active on the account or did it expire and the game was purchased after the sub expired?

    Hi,

    I purchased the game myself but I'm not 100% sure since it was a very long time ago. One of the Live Agents asked me those questions as well and he did appear to take a long time as he told me he was trying to get it fixed with some other team but it didn't work. Regarding the EA Play it's not active anymore and I don't remember ever subscribing to it. Maybe it was some kind of promotional stuff I got.

    Is there anyway to fix it other than going through live chat? I've tried so many times and no one seems to get it fixed.

    @VenturaCNI you need to reach out to a chat advisor. They will be able to get that resolved for you.

    You are right, it is always important to open a case and speak directly with an advisor. They are always very attentive and friendly. I hope I don't have this incident again but anyway.

    ONE OF THEM WAS ABLE TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE ADVICE. 🙂
