Problem d3d9.dll

I can't launch Mass Effect 3.
When I try, it says that the d3d9.dll is missing. I tried to reinstall directx 9, 10, 11 on my computer approximatively 20 times, it doesn't work.
I have this problem on my windows 7, and windows 8, since Sunday the 3rd.
I played this game for one month on my new computer, on windows 8, without any problem, so I don't think it's a problem due to the compatibility.

I bought this game 50€, and I see that I can't play the game.
I contacted support 3 times before now.
I would like to you to resolve my problem.
Update the game, or update Origin, I don't know, but do something please, it begins to make me sick !

Kind of an old thread, but I just found out why mine didn't work.  Apparently the d3d9.dll in the folder with the MassEffect3.exe was actually just an alias, and it wasn't pointing to anything.  It was pointing to where it thought the Fxaa Tool folder was, with it's own d3d9.dll . So I fixed the alias, not sure if others have this same problem, but that fixed my game...

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Mass Effect 3\Binaries\Win32

Check that the d3d9.dll is here, if it's an alias, you may have to fix it (or move another d3d9.dll file to where it's pointing to).

  • Have you tried re-installing the DirectX version that came with the game? You can find it under Mass Effect 3\__Installer\directx\redist\DXSETUP.exe

    Yes...

The only issue I found is to change the compatibility mode of the game for Windows XP, and then reboot the pc, and cancel the compatibility mode. After this, the game launch one time, but when I leave the game, and retry to launch the game, the error message apears, so I must reboot again and again...
