Re: Mass Effect 3 Freezing on cutscene

Issue Fixed!

Solution from a post in "Missing Textures/Graphical Glitches" by @ReikanOngaku

Here it is:

Under Documents>Bioware>Mass Effect 3>BIOGame>Config.  Rename "GamerSettings.ini" to "old_GamerSettings.ini"

Restart Origin, run Mass Effect 3, check if fixed.

Many thanks to @myzombiecandance for finding this solution.

Does anybody know what line or lines that are causing the problem. I spent a lot of time trying to get everything the way I wanted it and now I have encountered more and more freezes. I have only started playing with it by changing the resolution. How far can I go before I do have a problem? Like changing MotionBlur=True to False. etc...

Yes it was. It appears that the Line: LensFlares=False was causing the problem. I have tested with it true and it works fine. I have played about 2x12 hour days since I replied here and have had no more freezes. I was only able to go about 10 ft. before it froze. I could display the whole GamerSettings.ini if you want, but it's pretty large. It's 5k right now. When you delete it, the new one is less than 1k. I have been using "A Lot Of Textures (ALOT) for ME3" and it created it at some point. I made a few changes to it, like FilmGrain=False, MotionBlur=False, MotionBlurPause=False, AllowRadialBlur=False, DepthOfField=False and AmbientOcclusion=True. It has made a big difference displaying my Graphics. Thanks for your help!
