Re: My feedback on Andromeda, what would I change.
-shooting gallery of some kind so I can test out weapons like in ME3
-HD texture pack to remove the PS1 level colour pallet and restore some "Mass Effect" to ME:A. ME1-3 had far better textured armour, weapons, clothes (why is everyone in bright, non-textured clothing? I thought we got past that after ME1), and species (why in the hell are the Turians Albino?)
-Remodel the Asari. They are a serious downgrade from previous titles, just compare Liara or Shiala to Peebee or all the asari clones (because for some reason Peebee is the only one with a unique face that I've encountered in 50 hours playtime) they were supposed to be the most beautiful race in the Milky Way but now the Krogan are better looking.
-Include the Quarians. The game teases them and it is VERY clear they've been removed for DLC which I don't understand outside of squeezing as much money out of fans as possible. Quarians are hugely popular so not to include one of the few races who have a real reason to be on the project (looking for a new home world and all) is a massive oversight. Or a greedy one.
-expand love interest interaction. Outside of actually talking to them you wouldn't think anything is happening at all.
-improved character customization. It's less advanced than ME3's and way below anything currently available in other titles like Fallout 4 for example. The scars are a joke, look at Zaeed's scars or the scars in ME1 then look at ME:A's answer. Photoshop lines with a red colour. Skin colour doesn't allow for really pale or really dark, no face texture options, tattoos are very lacking, beards are just a texture so you can't have a long beard or anything that isn't stubble, no eyebrow choices, no facial deformation so you could have a permanent scowl or something, it's all very hollow.
-more outfit and armour choices with an option for patchworking like the concept designs for Mass Effect 3 depicted. I would love to have a mixture of Quarian, Turian, and Geth looking pieces for my armour.
-accessories. In ME2 and 3 you could have visors and similar items but I've yet to come across anything like that. I want Jaarl's scouter.
-proper sword/melee application. In the ME3 multiplayer when you tapped the button you could do a sword combo but in ME:A you only get a strong attack.
-loot boxes in the multiplayer. It was one of the most common complaints of an otherwise solid addition to ME3 and it's sad to see them return un-altered. I understand why that system is used but if I knew I had a better or guaranteed chance of getting something that isn't an consumable I'd have more interest in getting them. Doing several matches only to get a crate filled with first aid and ammo replenishment is off-putting to say the least.
I know my criticisms may seem harsh at times but I'm passionate about the series and I want ME:A to be a solid addition to the series I enjoy so much and it is my strongest hope that some of these will be addressed.
