- @sundance31us Thanks for a hasty response! That is very helpful info that I did not know. The files are stored in my documents on my PC, and now that you pointed it out, I do have the Char file.
I had started a new game in ME2 so it would create a save file. It was probably unnecessary, but that way, I would know that I had a folder for ME2 where save games are stored. I then pasted the Char file into that folder and relaunched the game and it still didn't work. - sundance31us4 years agoHero (Retired)
@yummytwinkies LE2 should look in LE1 Char file for the import; for example this is where my game looks...
C:\Users\(username)\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME1\Char
@sundance31usWell, I copied and pasted it, so its still in both files. I also started a new game in ME1 and then looked where the save file went, and it put it in the same folder. Idk why the launcher or the games don't recognize it.

One common suggestion when this happens is to load a previous save and defeat Saren again, let the credits run though til the end, then open LE2 and see if there's a LE1 import available.
@sundance31us I would be fine with that, but when I load ME1, there are no options to resume a game. It only gives me a start new game option.

When you go to your Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Legendary Edition\Save\ME1\ file are there normal save files in there (Example in the image on post #2 above, the Fineas01 file contains normal save files)?
- @sundance31us Hey! sorry for the delay, I appreciate your longevity in this. Yes, I have normal save files. my save file that isn't working looks the same as the new save games that I have created in game.
