Yes, same exact problem. I get to the vault and when i go to use the gravity well to get inside i start to free fall about halfway down and then it bugs out and drops me in the Slums and everything is weird looking. black skies and such. 

I have tried previous auto saves, previous manual saves, repaired the game twice, it's still happening. Can't seem to find an answer anywhere i really don't wanna learn i spent money on the game to not be able to play it.

Ok, after your description it sounds like a problem with the game files, but a repair should have solved that.

Preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode. (Disable the real time scanner of your anti virus software as well.)

If that don't helps, go to your "Documents\Bioware\Mass Effect Andromeda\Save" folder and move all files with "ProfOpts" in the name to your desktop > Test.

Hey I have the same issue. The tried the clean boot, tried every save game moving, Repaired the game twice, the but issue remains.

It seems like on the way down the character gets stuck, i get injured (it can be seen that i lose vitality) as seen on the picture in the middle and when the system continues with the fall the character arrives then it is set back again in mid air falling, finally setting in back to Kadara slums. As a result the sky changes to black and everything in the environment is suddenly ultra bright. I would think the the environmental change is the consequence of the glitch, the issue itself is that Ryder gets injured during the fall in the gravity well.

When i go back to the vault, the same issue happens. Basicaly I am not able to proceed with the main quest of the game. I have played with the game before and I remember proceeding further in the game so not sure why it is causing issue now. However I have come across 4-5 other threads with the very same issue and I have not seen any solution that was working so far. 

Anyone with any help?

Platform being played on??  Mods??  Have you removed all mods, repaired the game and tried again?? 

I don't like it, but have you tried an uninstall and reinstall of the game...I don't like it, because depending on the speed of your internet, it could take awhile.....but sometimes it does work....

Hey 🙂 It was PC, I had mods on, repaired the game, removed the mods after and repaired the game again but nothing worked. Later on today I got in touch with EA helpdesk chat and they sent the following instructions:

Please refer these steps and clear origin cache files. Please log out from origin and Delete the following folders: All the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent - Found in C:\ProgramData\Origin\LocalContent All files and folders found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Origin All files and folders found in C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Origin

I did all the steps (googled the internet reset as the link did not work for me) except for the antivirus/firewall part. 

I am not sure where the issue was originally but in the end the above steps fixed the problem. When I reloaded the old save game before the gravity well it worked without issue. When I reloaded the save game after the gravity well issue when I was set back to the slums after the eternal fall, the sky was still black and the environment bright, however when I went back to the vault and completed the quest, came out and everything was perfect in the game 🙂

Just picked this game up on sale, same issue. None of the fixes mentioned have worked for me. Good thing I didn't pay full price, but this sucks.

The method that worked for me was to go into the game via Origin rather than through Frosty modmanager. Reached the bottom of the well with no issue, then saved the game, exited, and started the game via the modmanager and continue to play as normal. 

I got this fix from another post by jtazako so credit to them.
