Shadow Broker DLC causes awc.dll not found error

I purchased the mass effect trilogy through Origin during Black friday last year.  I played through 1 just fine and i when i went to 2, i wanted to purchase the shadow broker DLC.  I bought the dlc through bioware, and installed it.  Now when i run mass effect 2, it gives me the error awc.dll not found and wont start my game.  I have looked through forum after forum and have tried their remedies but this still wont work for me.  Can anyone please help me?

    Reinstalling Adobe AIR does not fix this problem.

    I also had this problem.

    Reinstalling Air did nothing,

    Trying to fix the install found nothing wrong.

    I ended up floating my cursor over the ME2 image in origin and tried starting the game from there and it worked.

    From then on, I was able to get the game running from the shortcut.
