Shady sales technique

Don't you think you should make the game playable with no internet???
1) it's a solo title, not an MMO.
2) Nowhere did it say it requires the internet to play (Only having the option to play it thru your launcher can be considered false advertising, Nowhere in the system requirements does it say an internet connection is a must to play).

Sorry to be a bit harsh but you sold this title to me under false information, it might not seem like a big deal but I really hate all these Corporate launcher's, if I knew I had to play it thru one I would have never bought the title again (I got all the originals I would have stuck to them).

I am not asking for a refund, I want you to give me what I paid for, the ability to play the game without having to launch it thru your so-called "Launcher". Why should I have to pay a retail store's prices just to have to launch it with a launcher that feeds information back to a greedy company?

On GOG you can get offline/standalone installers for all the games in their shop, and you won't need Galaxy (their launcher). A small number of multiplayer-based games require Galaxy.
Pretty much all other storefronts will have you run their games through a launcher. EA is no different there from Steam, Epic, Blizzard, etc.

Do you have the game on Steam?

What is happening if you try to start the game wile offline?

No, like I said I'm not a huge fan of having launchers running in the background, I bought directly from EA... So every time I click the desktop Icon that worthless Origin launcher launches. If you know another way to launch it to bypass the origin bit please enlighten me.

@Lerch2OOO Launcher is part of the game (call it main menu if you like) while the 3 games are considered as chapters. That if you mean the game launcher. If by launcher you meant Origin client, well, that is the platform.

" There is no room for interpretation.
Launcher feeding information in background? of course it does to ensure "ACCESS TO SOFTWARE CONTENT IS LIMITED TO ONE EA ACCOUNT & IS NON-TRANSFERABLE AFTER PURCHASE."
Again, printed on store page and asked for confirmation during install.

@Lerch2OOO as @sweetpoison0011 has clearly stated, multiple times, Origin is REQUIRED to run Mass Effect, PER THEIR LEGAL AGREEMENT. They were not trolling. They were helping you by accurately answering the question. Origin store makes it clear that an Internet connection and Origin is required to play the game. Steam store makes it clear that Origin is required to be running in the background in order to play.

So, in fact, you DID get what you paid for.

As others already pointe out you need either Origin or EA Desktop to run the game.

Origin has an offline mode and after registering the game online at the first time you start it you can play any single player game on Origin in offline mode.

A lot of Steam and Epic games can be played without the launcher, though that's not always obvious. I got Control on EGS and you only need the launcher to download it. Afterwards, you can store it on Google Drive or external storage if you want, and you'll never have to use the launcher again. This is true for a lot of major games, including Civilization VI and Horizon Zero Dawn. Here's a list.

As for Origin, I'm quite sure I played Dragon Age: Origins without it, but you might get a popup asking your login and password, so there's still a check. Edit: I just tested and the game runs straight from the executable without the launcher.
