Shields and barriers

When consumable to improve shields is selected, will this also have the same effect on barriers

    If you are talking about the Volus power, then yes, it works with both Shields and Barriers. In fact, everytime something say "boosts shields" in some form, they are talking about both Shields and Barriers. It is just more convenient for BioWare, I assume, to say "Shields" rather than "Shields and Barriers":

    If you are playing with, or as, a Volus, go nuts with a Volus + Barrier user. Some cool suggestions would be... Volus + Human Vanguard for unlimited Nova spam, or even the N7 Slayer for unlimited Phase Disruptor spam.

    Though, I am sure you can come up with some other cool ideas. :D

    Yes.

    Cyclonic modulators (and other permanent gear) does in fact increase your barriers based on your BASE barrier amount, not multiplicative of other bonuses. (10% of 500 barriers + 10% of 500 barriers will be 500 + 50 + 50, not 500 + 50 + 55).

    Consume as many as you want to boost your biotics! 😕mileyvery-happy:

    Does shield boost  also increase the barriers
