8 years agoI'm pro-Krogan. Massively pro-Krogan. I'm so pro-Krogan, I was disappointed that Andromeda didn't have a Krogan Pathfinder for me to pal around with. But I love Drack.
Spoiler
However,I picked Raeka the first time through. I chose to give the Krogan the Core, I did Drack's loyalty mission, had my bar brawl, and even played with fire in the Vortex with him, all before deciding against his scouts for my first run-thru. He was disappointed that I picked a Pathfinder over his scouts, as he should be, but he understood that the Pathfinders did good work, and that they would put the Nexus back on track to what it should have been. Also, Tann became a little nicer towards Kesh, so that's something. Drack's snide comment about Reaka needing to make saving her worth it was as much racial (given the Genophage) as it was personal. And Reaka understood that. No Krogan was going to be happy that she was chosen over one of them for so many reasons.
But in this next playthrough, I'm choosing the scouts and always will. A bunch of Krogan who could live to be over 1000 years old vs a single Salarian who might live to see 40? Not a good bet. No short-lived Pathfinder is worth the kind of benefits that would come from having a dozen or so Krogan loyal to you working as scouts, APEX fighters, and Pathfinder assistants. The cost-benefit analysis doesn't play out. NO single Salarian is worth even half a dozen Krogan.
