The problem is not the steam deck but the EA application because it stopped working after its update and as I read on the forum and elsewhere it is mostly after the EA application update... Why doesn't Ubisoft do it? hmm a question to think about, I have all Assassins and other games from them and they run without problems. They release an update to their application and the games run without problems. So do other companies like Bethesda etc. But EA releases an application update and it's the end of gaming for a while. They should think about it competently and before they release an update they should probably consult with Steam support so that it doesn't make players frown and prevent them from playing their favorite games even on the go.... NOW TO THE PROBLEM: After starting the game on the steam deck, the EA application loading window appears and the game doesn't start but crashes back to the desktop. Before the EA application update was released I played without problems.....
These are the games Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Mass Effect: Andromeda.
Sialenymax So, with Steam Deck, the EA app causing an issue with the game is not the same as the online access error. That is account based. I reached out to see if there are any issues around this right now and what can be done with it.

The problem is still there and as I read here on the forum and on other forums, the problem still persists and not just for me.... :(

Sialenymax You also have to factor in that the Steam Deck run on Linux which isn't technically supported. The troubleshooting for that is kind of limited so if the EA app is installed, and the games do not work, getting them to work is going to be a rough one.
