Strike Teams can only equip one item/replaced eqipment just disappears

So apparently your strike teams can only equip one item. Your strike teams' equipment gets overridden with whatever new equipment you choose to purchase. I had assumed they stacked since there is no mention of this in the tutorial, tooltip/description, or the newly released manual. It would seem the spirit of exploration not only extends to skill descriptions (lacking detail) but strike team mechanics as well. What happens to the equipment that was overridden? It just disappears. It defies the term equipment as it cannot be unequipped and equipped on another team. BS and absolutely irritating to find this out this way. An equipment that cost 250 mission funds (equivalent to, at max, 50 strike team missions) just disappearing is unacceptable. At the very least the overridden equipment should be refunded the full cost.

Just wanted to warn the community and spare them from a similarly irate response to the discovery of this slap-in-the-face game mechanic

  • Yes! That sucks!

I would not care if the equipment were not so expensive but this is completely bogus.

You don't even get some kind of refund when you retire a team
  • Welp, that just killed any interest I had in paying any attention to that system.

And strike teams seem to get debuffs at random by failing any mission. Eventually rendering teams useless. And there's nothing you can do about it.

What we need is like a rehab functionality. Take a team off ops for say 24 hours, spend some mission funds, and have a %chance to remove a debuff from said team.

This happened to me this week and I am very upset! As stated, no instructions or warning as to how the strike teams work. I decide to focus my efforts on my top team. Then, equipment went missing upon purchase of a second piece of equipment and I'm out my 150 MF (mission funds).

This should be fixed ASAP! First refund our spent mission funds. Second, implement a warning that purchase of new equipment will override existing equipment. Better yet, make the equipment like gear. Let us own many but equip only one at a time.

Negative traits don't necessarily have to keep you from your missions. Before I figured out the strike teams, I was sending them on everything regardless of chance of success.I figured the XP would be better than not leveling up. My worst team has four negative traits but still does just fine. I reject missions without at least 60% chance of success with most of them being 80% or better. They almost never fail. When they do, no negative traits for missions with a high chance of success.

My lead team (lvl20), lost 4 missions back to back, all 4 had a 94% for success. After that last mission they picked up a debuff. Kind of pissed me off.
