SUGGESTION: Upgradable/Cutomizeable Colonies

This is Mass Effect and not Sim City, I know, but could you consider implementing a system that let us somehow have an impact on our colonies.

After having to decide on EOS Military or Science I thought there would be more customizing going on.

Does not need to be a free placing system, but different buildings that could be upgraded

* Spaceport

* Bar

* Market and Black Market

* Storage Rooms

* Barracks

* Med Center

* Shipyard

* Chop Shop

This is just name dropping, but I guess you get the idea

    So far it seems that the colonies are static even though one is releasing pod after pod of military or scientists[ I'm on level 42 . ]

  • could also be cool to have the AVP system tied into this. have it so that when you unlock stasis pods those people actually show up on the planet and start doing their thing.

  • Cool, but not necessarily non-trivial. And how does the more inventory space work? You have a storehouse that appears on one of your colonized planets?

    not necessarily a storehouse but maybe a inventory manager or Sherpa 🤔. the idea would be more cryopods=more people=more buildings=bigger more lively outpost.

    The tricky part is that *technically* you only have to create one outpost, Prodromos. All of the others are technically optional.

    It would be kinda cool. I'd really like to have a base on a planet of choice where I built my own home in the form of a base.

    I could go for that. You know, collect stuff around the heleus cluster to deck out the place and use crafting for buildings and such. Yeah, I'd love that.

    I think that by now everyone who played the game has come to the same conclusion: the colonies, planets, enemy/ resistence outposts and well planets in general has been poorly developed. It dosen't really have a deep impact in the current game what kind of colony you first start military or science, and once you have this colonies there is nothing you can do to them, like @askavian said

    So yes this is not a Sim City game but having options to interact with colonies, customize and see your decisions have an impact on the colonies and planets in general would be awesome, more immersive and interesting to play while not involved in the main quest or companions loyalty ones.

    But not only the colonies it would be nice to have more events going on, all the planets have a lot of potential like kett, fauna or angaran rebels attacking your colonies, fighting each other and a lot of other encounters to keep the game interesting while exploring and not doing any major quest.

    There was another thread with this and others suggestion, but as much as i think it would be great to have this options i don't think we will get this ideas in the current Andromeda, my Hope is that BioWare takes note of all the suggestions that people are having arround and put them in the next game to make a great next ME game.

    For now i'm still "patiently" waiting and hoping for a BIG Singleplayer DLC with a great story, more companion and LI interactions and a better villain then the Archon (like a friend said he is just a borring villain put there just to be evil).

    Um, that is purely your opinion. Not getting maximum viability and not completing the outposts (and finding the lost Arks) will make a very large difference in the final battle. Less backup to fight the Kett, the captain of the Hyperion dies and all.

    I kind of like my Salarian and Krogan and Turian backup, thank you.
