🙂 Different opinions here. 🙂
I think the ME3 mod "made the game" for a lot of players, but NOT for all of them. Even I would love to see "MORE scenes" in the mod (and a nother music hehehe) . But I also see that .... this are still privat person who don't have the same possibilities like Bioware. It was on Bioware to make a real good, long ending "for a lot of people". They missed and gave us an extended cut .... they gave us NOTHING.
You see: I'm still angry ... 😃 And I'm peaceful & willing to forgive. Now imagine how angry the people are who are NOT willing to forgive. 😉 SO: If you talk about Andromeda reactions & critics you have to talk about the ending of ME3 and the behavior & reaction of the Bioware / EA staff towards the fans a few years ago. But this is just my personal opinion.
I like the Andromeda story. I was really surprised how "deep" she was. OK: If you read every note you find ingame you know the story very early. But: There is a lot of potential in this story. Hope they make something with this potential. Problem: The story gave me the feeling to be "unfinished" and I don't trust Bioware / EA (anymore). I'm frightend they will NOT finish this story or not really "good".
Let me upload two comics that show how I feel about the ME3 ending. 😉 NOT mine, found them on Pinterest!
I'd like to see someone take the next step.. but it would mean creating truely massive content, over and above all the maps, character content etc.
For the characters to react to situations in real time, to comment on the current situation, on your characters armour choice, clothing, remarks you made historically etc. Previous decisions.
And for us to be able to interact directly with the other characters, ie change their armour, weapons etc.
Other than this, ME:A is imo the best game ever created to date. All of the ME games are. And there's just so much replayability in this one as well. Alternative ways of playing. Would be nice if they just took it that little bit further, but I realise this would probably need an actual real ai to make the intricate decisions that would be necessary to make the game feel even more real, without making it insanely harder.
ME:A 101% /100. Very well done bioware, it's a pity you've decided to go a different direction and reduced your company down to a small dev team again. The scope of ME:A has truely set a new precedent for gaming.
