The Citadel DLC group photo

i've seen people post very good quality crew photos-i mean the one that is on the wall and take at the end of the The Citadel DLC party in Shepard's apartment: do i have to use external screen caption or is there some way to export the photo from the game or game folders?

  • I used Fraps, though if you save just before taking the shot and use print screen you could probably also get it. I recommend taking the sreenshot just before the actual one is taken as will be of a better quality. (Example)

Sadly, in my game Joker always has a strange head-angle when the ingame-footage is shown. The actual foto on the wallscreen is fine, but at the ingame scene, at least Joker and sometimes others have weird head angles ☹️

btw @sundance31us - how did you get Liara to wear another uniform? With a texture-mod or is this somehow possible ingame?

  • There are three modded outfits active via Texmod: (Edit - Visible in the image I linked to in my previous post.)

    Shepard (Spectre Diplomatic/Civil Uniform)

LIara (Retexture of her white uniform - was going for a darker tux look)

Joker/Cortez/Kaidan (Darker version of the uniform Samantha is wearing)

All three are unreleased (at least at the moment) Texmods I created.

You could try the free version of Fraps and take a screenshot the moment it snaps the shot in the game; the free version will create a bitmap image of the screenshot.

Wow, these are awesome! Especially the Liara one (OK, I'm biased anyway since it's her . Only used Texmod for ME2, ME3 was too much of a hassle for me with Origin etc, so I never got to see the great mods ppl have made for ME3.

  • Future games are going to require Origin, so I decided it was best to learn how to get it to work with ME3 rather than wait; at the bottom of this page is a zip file containing a pdf explaining how to use Texmod with Origin. The trick is to get Origin to open Texmod instead of ME3 and then open ME3 via Texmod; to do this you need to have both .exe files in the same folder and rename them at different points in the process...or you use a customized batch file to do the renaming for you (this is what I do).

thx for the tips! The renaming part was what kept me from using texmod. But since the next games in the Mass Effect and Dragon Age franchise will use the Frostbite-engine, I'm afraid modding through texmod will no longer work. I'm not sure if a similar mod-tool for Frostbite even exists...

Although after seeing all the great and far more detailed textures ppl have done I'm inclined to try your method anyway, since I'm on a fresh play through atm

Haven't tried it yet as I'm waiting on new hardware to arrive, as on my current few glitches happened I suspect due to big system load-once I'll attempt fraps I'll certainly post the outcome here
