Tons of smoke in Illium in Mass Effect 2 Legendary Edition

Illium is covered in smoke in most of the backgrounds on the planet. There is also a smoky haze that fills most of the areas. I'm not sure if this is a bug. I'm quite disappointed as Illium is my fav...

I just got to Illium, it is shockingly bad. If it was a few wispy clouds that floated on by, and you could still see the vista between them, that would be cool, but this is just a big ugly cloud that seems specifically designed to block the view. I hate it so much.
