Very low FPS on Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition
I've "disabled" the in-game overlay, but origin and ea desktop have a mind of their own and still shows up in-game.
I play on a laptop, HP OMEN 15.
I've done the Nvidia control panel stuff for high-performance GPU, even though my laptop doesn't have an integrated graphics card.
Turned off v-sync
set the mass effect games to high-performance power options manually
No windows 10 "gaming features" on
Nvidia drivers are up to date
I have no peripherals connected to my laptop except my wired mouse and headphone
Spec:

how in the world does that even work. the option to enable origin in-game overlay is literally locked to the off position .. AS I SEE IT THROUGH ORIGIN IN-GAME OVERLAY.
Windows is set to auto-update, and it's the latest available.
my laptop only has one GPU, the RTX 2060. OMEN 15 doesn't have integrated graphics somehow don't ask me why or how because I don't know.
I kinda find the fix for it. instead of just renaming the "igo64.exe", I also renamed any files that started with "igo".
so that's:
- IGO32.dll -> IGO32.dll.DEAC
- igo64.dll -> igo64.dll.DEAC
- igoproxy.exe -> igoproxy.exe.DEAC
- igoproxy64.exe -> igoproxy64.exe.DEAC
