Was the Class System in Andromeda good?

Do you think the system was better than the original trilogy having 6 classes with a few choices or in andromeda where you could customise however you wisshed?

The ability to pick any skills you wanted and getting buffs based on your picks was interesting and probably better for people who like to play the perfect way or if you like to customise your playthrough but it definitely opened up plenty of ways to kill the game for a lot of people, ESPECIALLY on the first playthrough when you are learning what to do.

I saw a few too many people who misallocated points early and had to suffer through difficult gameplay because they had not picked skills that complimented the situation, it made the first half of the game a chore until you started filling out the skill trees, with the original system it was hard to mess up because the game was tailored to be playable with all classes.

Personally think it was good but needs some safeguards or "recommendations" to help avoid early mistakes.
