Way Too Dark Shadows

Recently reinstalled ME3 after a few months without; my video card did not change, I updated the game and drivers for both after re-installing, but I'm having major issues with the graphics now. I get major black shadows in any indoor spaces, to the point that entire scenes and characters will be blacked out except for a pair of eyeballs. It's terrible.

I have no idea what's going on; the only thing that has changed is my video card's drivers, and none of my other games are affected. Multiple attempts to mod or change the settings of the game itself have met with little to not fix. I'm at the end of my rope.

  • Roll back your video driver and see if that fixes anything. (Control panel -> device manager -> your graphics card)

Is this by any chance a graphics card by Nvidia? They have pretty poor support for older games (which is why I switched to AMD). Quite often their newest drivers cause problems in older games.
