Widow piercing
Now, I don't remember exactly, and it could have been other guns instead but wasn't the Widow in Mass Effect 2 and 3 default to have some piercing capability? Because it definitely doesn't without a mod in Andromeda.

they did but not anymore but they still have the damage like they did before. but with the ability to add 4 mods to the gun its not a complete waste to add the mod to it.
Its definitely a stepback removing the native piercing from them but sacrificing a kinetic coil for a double mod aint that bad option either. It gives you more utility and lets face it, you gonna need at least 3 mods on a sniper, such as magazine,barrel and in this case one of the receivers while the 4th is a personal choice.
However its hard to believe that a big a** sniper cant penetrate a soft cover only with mods.
Yeah thats a different story then, however im sure it can be easily patched if BW gets enough complaints/feedbacks so it starts to bother them. I dont see any reason why it shouldnt be like in ME3/2 however im not sure about ME2...even though i had a playthrough with infiltrator.
Problem is, they getting loads of complaints,bug reports, negative feedbacks, suggestions that they are overwhelmed and even then we can be happy if only half of the list get patched. Not to mention implementing new nomad skins (which we already have loads) and new casual outfits are still enjoy more priority than these things.
