Not all essences available to paint with when decorating my own house

I'm playing MySims (not Kingdom) on the Switch and am having trouble painting the interior of my home. I want to use the gingerbread essence which I have over 50 of in my backpack but it does not sho...

Could someone from EA at least acknowledge this bug please? It's been 3 months with multiple players reporting the same issue and no patch has been released or anything. :/
