cant launch nfs heat on steam stuck on preparing game

I launch nfs heat on steam and then been stuck on "Preparing game..." and then after it closes the EA app crashes. See the pictures

need for speed heat

    I had this problem too yesterday. The problem may have been that the game wasn't being added to my EA App library after installation via Steam. Did some restarts, connecting and disconnecting the network, launched the EA App or Steam in different orders, and launched the game a few time---none seemed to work. This morning I tried launching the EA App again and suddenly it had added NFS Heat to my library and automatically launched the game. Very weird behavior, but now the game seems to be working fine.
