Direct X error

I have this problem...I start the tutorial and after 5-6 second crash with this error:Please help

directx function "GetDeviceRemovedReason"failed with
DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED("The video card has been physically removed
from the system, or a driver upgrade for the vvideo card has occurred
.The application should destroy and recreate the device. For help
debugging the problem, call ID3D10Device::GetDeviceRemovedReason")
GPU:"NVIDIA GeForce GT540M " Driver:Unknown.This error is usually
caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.
Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 512 MB

My specs:

Intel Core i5 2.4 Ghz up to 3.0 Ghz

Nvidia gt540m 2gb dedicated

8 gb ram dd3

750 gb hdd 7200 rpm

  • I'm not familiar with Ultimate Driver, I'd guess that's a program to keep your drivers up to date? For now your best bet would be to bypass this and update manually.

If you have upgraded the drivers and still have no luck, it might be worth refreshing them entirely, by uninstalling and reinstalling a fresh set.

Just to check for other issues, ensure your laptop is set to run in high-power mode all the time when gaming. Also try running with a Clean Boot, in case there is some 3rd party program interference

    What is your Operating system?

Here is the message we can read:

    • This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.
Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 512 MB

Since the driver is crashing you should try to reinstall the last driver for your graphic card.

I have the same problem and all other games work just fine. I dont really want to refund this game, but if time runs out and they have not fixed it, that is what I am going to have to do!  also forgot to mention that I am runing amd graphics card with latest drivers installed.

edit for update: I downloaded the 16.3 drivers found here, http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 and had no improvements. maybe a rollback to the old 15.xx drivers would be better? ( i was on 16.1 drivers)
