There are lots of cars that should reach LVL399. That including the cover car itself, the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR, and also other cars like the Subaru brz premium or the Nissan Silvia S15 or many other JDM icons. The way this should be done ( my opinion anyway). After you build your car to LVL299, you should be able to pay a fee of let's say 300k in game currency and that would unlock the limit and let you upgrade you favourite car further and reach LVL399. These are my thoughts, nd I would love to see them happen in game, because having to pay a fee would give you another to play more and grind for money and order to get the perfect build of your dream on the car you want.

Upgrade systems that allowed you to make any car just as competitive as the others were featured in many NFS games: Underground 1 + 2, Most Wanted 2005, 2015, and perhaps even Prostreet? We have visual customization, so why not allow heavier performance upgrades to justify that visual customization?2. In some cases, it is kind of realistic, as you can put a lot of power in many low-end cars in real life, if you have the correct performance parts.3. Even if it's not realistic for some cars to have 1000+ HP, the Regera can somehow be upgraded in Payback, like anybody could ever do that in 2017....Not that I think you shouldn't be able to slightly upgrade a Regera in NFS, because it isn't supposed to be realistic anyways, so why not sacrifice realism for the sake of making the game more enjoyable for everyone?

What really sucks about this stupid limit is that if you only bought cars that caps out at 300 you're gonna have a hard time with the last race leagues and runner missions. It was most likely intentionally done to make us grind even more.

after ive unlocked all the 299 cars I dont even do any missions, I aint even mad lol, give us fair competetive multiplayer and im good

I think that every car should reach 399 with a small fee.

Problem is, that way you basically could get a 399 car for each setup after only beating one race again and again what then again would give you way "overpowered" cars for the whole mission progress.
So, as you basically do not get the best gear at level 1 in RPG's or you dont have access to the best weapons in a shooter when you start, it also takes some time and, most important, progress to get access to the real high level cars.
I for myself only use derelicts, so i do not really have an issue there. Don't really have an opinion on that topic, just wanted to point out one reason why this is difficult to process.

I see your point however there are very many people who love the cars like the Skyline and the Silvia and many other Jdam icons that are in the game. Maybe the in game currency fee could be more expensive. Maybe even 1 million. I would pay even 2 million to upgrade my favourite cars. But that's just my opinion.

I just dont understand, if you like jdm cars why you just dont want to stick at 299, upgrade as much ad you can and play
Against 299? Thats the way man...atleast you can play also against similiar cars and you dont have to see any (snip) regera and other supercars in game... 399 for every car is just stupid... come on guys.

Against 299?
1. Just because somebody wants to use their favorite car doesn't mean they want to stick to slower performance.
2. Multiplayer can still pair you up with 399 cars if you enter with a 299 car, making it unfair for anyone that does want to stick to low performance.
3. My favorite car isn't even a JDM car, it's a Lotus, which is also limited to rank 299. Not everyone here that wants all cars to reach rank 399 has a Japanese car as their favorite car.
