Need for Speed 2015 doesn't start on Steam, Xbox App, or EA App on Windows 11
On my first try, I installed the game on Steam but whenever I click play, the EA App opens and closes but game doesn't start.
After that I uninstalled the game and tried to install it on Xbox App using my game pass subscription.
This time the game gave me an error for not having Origin installed and ultimately didn't start. I included the error as an attachment.
For my last attempt, I installed the game on EA App using my EA Play subscription but I encountered the same error when I click the shortcut on my desktop. If I try to play the game via EA App, the launcher keeps telling me that the game is corrupted and I need to repair the game. I repaired the game multiple times but unfortunately, it did not solve my issue.
Please note that this problem only occurs when I want to play Need for Speed 2015, and Need for Speed Payback. All the other Need for Speed games are running fine.
I have tried the followings:
- On Steam, I tried to verify the game files but it did not solve the issue.
- On EA App I tried app recovery and clear cache but that did not solve my issue either.
- I run the game, and EA App on administrator rights but did not work.
- I tried to run the game on compatibility mode but did not work.
- I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game multiple times but did not work.
- My drivers are up to date.
I believe the game wants to open using Origin but as you already know Origin is discontinued.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi @HasiqTR34 To confirm have you tried repairing or reinstalling the VC+ files for the game?
